Tenderness in the Chaos

The world is full of ugliness, violence and pain.

It is also full of beauty, kindness and grace.

There are people who’s hurt drive them to hurt others

And there are people who’s hurt drive them to take up others tenderly in their arms.

There is chaos, unpredictability, and fear

But in every moment there is a choice- what will we do with our time?

We can reach out and touch the lives of others
Or we can hide in our bubble

Both are reasonable, understandable choices
But one closes us off from the richness of the world
And the other spreads much needed ripples of peace, love and beauty to untold corners of the earth.
